Lisa Haydon married her boyfriend Dino Lalvani on October 31 and while the world is sending best wishes to the just married couple, a leading daily has pissed the new bride.
The daily has posted an article, which mentions that Lisa has married her UK-based tycoon-boyfriend of Pakistani origin Dino Lalvani, 'when relations between India and Pakistan have hit an all-time low'.
The daily also said that Lisa will be quitting Bollywood and is planning to settle down with her husband in London. It also stated that 'as her career in Bollywood was heading waste' it's the best decision for her. Lisa is playing a gold-digger, who is in a relationship with a UK-based jet setter, in Ae Dil Hai Mushkil and the newspaper drew parallels to her real life as her husband too is a UK-based entrepreneur.
All this didn't go down too well with Lisa, who took to Twitter to slam the daily. ''Dear @dna my husband is Indian. My father in law - Gulu Lalvani, was born in pre-partition India and was thrown out of what is today called Pakistan - to call someone who has gone through the struggles of partition non-Indian is absurd,'' wrote Haydon.
''Sad this article are the good wishes you would give a girl on the day she begins a new & exciting chapter in her life. The world needs lovers not haters,'' she further added.
She also rubbished the rumours of her quitting Bollywood, writing, ''How nice to be on set today STILL working in "Bollywood" post marriage.''
Well, we wish Lisa and Dino a very happy married life.
