Life Comes A Full Circle For Divya Khosla Kumar As She Shoots For Remix Version Of Falguni Pathak’s Yaad Piya Ki Aane Lagi

Divya Khosla Kumar, who had kick-started her acting career with Falguni Pathak’s song Aiyo Rama, is now featuring in the video of the recreated version of the singer’s famous song Yaad Piya Ki Aane Lagi.

The actress, who had shared the poster of the song a few weeks ago, will be shooting for the video at Mumbai’s Jogeshwari Station today. Interestingly, the video of the Tanishk Bagchi-recreated track is being directed by Radhika Rao and Vinay Sapru, who had first spotted Divya and cast her in Pathak’s song.

Talking about her new video, Divya said, "Radhika ji and Vinay ji had spotted me during my Delhi modeling days and cast me in Aiyo Rama. The song went on to become a chartbuster instantly. Yaad Piya Ki Aane Lagi is one of my favourite 90s tracks. So, when Radhikaji and Vinayji suggested it as something we can work on, I agreed immediately. It's their idea and I'm very excited about shooting for it."

"But as far as the audio goes it’s nowhere similar to the original song; it’s a beautiful recreation, keeping the melody intact, albeit more peppy,” she further added.

When asked to comment on critics of the remixed songs, the actress said, "There are several songs from our Hindi music industry which are beautiful. Yet many from today's generation have not had a chance to hear them. Recreation is one such way to introduce them to these songs with a fresh tune and flavor that is very today. The original song will always remain popular. Our version will be well accepted because of its melody, contemporary sound, concept, story and re-enactment."

After Jogeshwari Station, the makers will shoot the song in South Bombay and also inside a college campus. The new lyrics have been penned by Jaani and Neha Kakkar has crooned the new version.
