Laal Kaptaan, A Navdeep Singh directorial which has been making headlines, for Saif Ali Khan who lives a Nawaabi lifestyle in real as well as reel life will be seen reprising the role of a tribal. Saif Ali Khan has been creating a huge buzz since the first look of 'Laal Kaptaan' is been out for carrying the look of Naga Sadhu Tribal with perfection.

Navdeep Singh who is currently working with Saif Ali Khan calls him "An Underrated Actor" and says that the actor is immensely talented and has lot of potential even though he has flourished in the Industry for the past two decades. Talking about the film, Laal Kaptaan is about the story of a Naga Sadhu who is seeking revenge and the film has been shot in very tough regions and severe climatic conditions - scorching heat, shivering cold and heavy downpours.

Giving interesting insights about period films Navdeep Singh shares, "Period films are both fun and terrifying. Though there are references and research materials. It's like building a world from scratch. You must be careful about every little detail - lights, backdrop, weapons, utensils etc. One has to be well prepared, as there is no room for error at the time of shoot. You can't make last minute changes, be it in costumes or props."

Saif Ali Khan was last seen in 'Bazaar', A crime drama film in which he was playing the role of a Gujarati Businessman, Shakun Kothari. The actor will be next seen in 'Laal Kaptaan' reprising the role of a Naga Sadhu Tribal. The film which is directed by Navdeep Singh, co produced by Eros International and Aanand L Rai's Colour Yellow Productions is slated to release in theatres at October 18.
