KV Vijayendra Prasad has confirmed meeting Salman Khan and has narrated the idea to the superstar. The actor has even liked the concept, and now the two are waiting for things to fall into the right place. When asked if the news of meeting Salman Khan on Eid is true, he said, "I met Salman last Eid. I narrated a line to him; he liked it. But let's see what happens."

In the first week of April 2025, the news of Salman and Prasad discussing the sequel to the mega blockbuster Bajrangi Bhaijaan emerged, with the source informing, "Salman Khan met KV Vijayendra Prasad a couple of days ago. They have come up with an idea, and discussions are ongoing for Bajrangi Bhaijaan 2. Moreover, there is a chance of possible collaboration between V. Vijayendra Prasad and director Kabir Khan; the trio is coming together, but nothing has been finalized yet."

During the media interviews for Sikandar, Salman also confirmed that Bajrangi Bhaijaan 2 is indeed happening, but the timeline isn't fixed yet. "I can't say when it's going to happen exactly—but it's in the writing stage," said Khan.
