Kuberaa Box Office: Dhanush & Rashmika Mandanna's Film is a Huge Disaster in Hindi –

Kuberaa Hindi Box Office Update:

Dhanush and Rashmika Mandanna's latest film Kuberaa has failed to make any impact at the Hindi box office. Despite the star power and a decent buzz in the South, the Hindi-dubbed version has turned out to be a complete washout.

The film opened to dismal numbers on Friday, collecting just ₹21 lakhs. It showed slight growth over the weekend, earning ₹30 lakhs on Saturday and ₹45 lakhs on Sunday. However, the total three-day weekend collection stands at a meagre ₹96 lakhs nett (approx), which is far below expectations for a pan-India release. The film was competiting with other Hindi releases like Sitaare Zameen Par and Housefull 5 and therefore went unnoticed by the audiences.

While the Hindi version is struggling to find any audience, the original language version of Kuberaa is performing relatively better down South. In Tamil and Telugu markets, the film has seen a steady footfall, thanks to Dhanush’s strong fanbase and positive local reception. Critics in the South have praised the film’s narrative and performances, though the same enthusiasm hasn’t translated for the Hindi audience. The poor buzz here resulted into poor numbers and then the competition made it even more difficult for the film.

The poor performance of the Hindi version is being attributed to, as we know, lack of interest, weak buzz in North India, and poor show availability in key markets. Moreover, the genre and presentation may not have resonated with the Hindi-speaking audience.

With under ₹1 crore in its opening weekend, Kuberaa's Hindi version is unlikely to recover or pick up in the coming days. Unless a miracle happens, the film is set to end its Hindi theatrical run as one of the year’s biggest dubbed disasters. All in all, Kuberaa would be looking for a lifetime total of around 2 crore nett in Hindi dubbed versions, which means a "DISASTER."
