What is KRRISH all about?

Krrish begins from where Koi?Mil Gaya ends. Rohit and Nisha die in an accident leaving behind Krishna who inherits super powers from his father. Rekha, the common factor in both the films is the grandmother of Krishna. Circumstances forces Krishna to Singapore where he transforms to Krrish.

Krrish is the story of ordinary boy who has been endowed with super powers. Like Superman, Spiderman or Batman, he is not out there to save the world. Krrish is an attempt to lay foundations of a superhero. This genre of cinema was non-existent till date.

Sequels have never come of age at Indian Box-office. Will KRRISH break this jinx?

I fully agree. But one has to take risks. Like in Olympic Games, you always see a record being broken. If you want to create a new record, risks have to be taken. My father has the courage to try a new genre of films. We did made history with Koi?Mil Gaya which was on aliens. This time it?s super powers. If Krrish comes out with flying colours you can expect a trilogy.

Will there be the alien ?Jadoo? in this film too?

Here the ?Jadoo? is missing.

Where does Priyanka Chopra fit into the story?

She essays the role of a television reporter. Now don?t mix it up and say even in Superman the female lead player was a reporter too.

Unlike other movies, the music of KRRISH is a big disappointment?

The film has great songs and it will catch up once the film releases.

How much of Singapore has been exposed?

Singapore has more than 60 ? 70 per cent exposure in the film. The film will showcase locations like the world renowned Singapore Zoo, the state of the art concert venue The Esplanade, a heritage pier built in 1933, the cultural repository of Chinatown, the bustling lifestyle districts along Singapore River and one of Singapore's rustic islands, Pulau Ubin.

Why do your risk doing dare devil stunts yourself?

Krrish is a super hero character who does not speak, but had to portray it in his body language. No fighter would have done it with my passion. Tony Ching Siu from Hong Kong who has more than 30 years experience is a commendable action director. They are the experts in cable wires which we tie for jumping sequences.

For the first time a Hindi film will be released in regional languages too?

Yeah! It?s my father?s idea. South too is a big market. We have dubbed the film in Tamil and Telugu versions and releasing it there with 200 ? 230 prints.

Another first, KRRISH is releasing world-wide with 800 prints.

Yeah. We want the film to reach all centres in one given frame. Along with SEC A, we wish to reach out to B and C class centres too.

Hrithik - the actor is most successful in his father?s films only. Comment.

My father gives me the liberty to act; many ?a- times away from his convictions. He has confidence in Hrithik ? the actor. I work with passion, by getting into the skin of the character. For me, script is a boundary. Trust and egoless communication is a must between the actor and the director and simultaneously a father ? son relationship should be maintained.

Why is Hrithik choosey about signing films?

I?m not a born actor. I like to do one film at a time.
