Killer Soup Legal Matter: Bombay High Court to Hear Netflix vs. Killer Jeans' Case Tomorrow 

Killer Soup legal matter: The legal battle between Netflix and Kewal Kiran Clothing Limited (KKCL) regarding the use of the word "Killer" in the title of the web series "Killer Soup" is finally going to see a court hearing tomorrow. The copyright issue over Netflix's Killer Soup title is scheduled for its first hearing on March 11, 2024, at the Bombay High Court.

Kewal Kiran Clothing Limited, the owner of the "KILLER JEANS" brand, has filed a legal suit before the Bombay High Court against the makers of the web series "KILLER SOUP" for infringing their trademark "KILLER." KKCL has impleaded the producers, Macguffin Pictures LLP and Netflix Entertainment Services India LLP, as defendants in the suit.

This case has attracted widespread attention as it raises crucial questions about trademark rights and brand protection in the entertainment industry. "Killer Soup," a mystery-thriller series, stars Manoj Bajpai and Konkona Sen Sharma in the lead roles. 

The series was released on Netflix on 11th January 2024, with the title "KILLER SOUP." KKCL has taken a strong objection to the use of their trademark as part of the name of the Netflix series. It will be interesting to see what the court has to say on this matter, as it may lead to new rules in the entertainment industry.
