Kiara Advani Out, Aneet Padda To Play Lead Role In Shakti Shalini:
In a big update from Maddock Films’ popular horror comedy universe, Kiara Advani will no longer be a part of the upcoming film Shakti Shalini. The actress, who was originally signed on as the female lead, has reportedly stepped back due to her maternal duties. While fans were eager to see her in the supernatural comedy, the production house has now found a fresh face to take the story forward.
Stepping into the lead role is Aneet Padda, best known for her performance in the recent blockbuster Saiyaara. The young actress has been receiving praise for her talent and screen presence, and this opportunity is set to mark her entry into mainstream Bollywood. Maddock Films seems confident that she will bring a new energy to the character of Shakti Shalini, confirmed a source to Pinkvilla.

At present, the film has not yet gone on floors. The makers are in the process of locking the director, with the final decision expected within a fortnight. Earlier, Shakti Shalini was scheduled for a grand release on 31st December 2025. However, with the delays in casting and production, the movie is unlikely to meet that date. Instead, it is now expected to arrive in the last quarter of 2026.
According to a report, the team is planning to make this installment even bigger, with more comedy, horror elements, and a strong emotional core. Fans of the horror comedy universe can expect an exciting new chapter soon.
