Actor Manoj Pahwa, who has gained popularity as a comic actor for his roles in movies like Wanted, Being Cyrus to name a few and television serial 'Office office' will display his serious side for a role in Ajai Sinha's upcoming movie Khap which is based on the custom of honour killing that is prevalent in the North West regions of India.

Taking about the film, Pahwa said, "I know that have often been slotted as a comic actor but when Sinha approached me and narrated the script, I immediately agreed to it. Many people might make films for the sake of it, but Ajai Sinha has chosen this hard hitting subject for a movie and I feel privileged to be a part of it." The film, which has been set in one of the villages of North India, explores the lives of various characters and the way their lives get affected by the khap custom.

Pahwa also mentioned that Ajai Sinha had sold his house and office to raise money for the making of the film and this had impressed him. "This is a socially relevant movie which should infact be made tax free so more and more people see it," he added.
