Amid widespread speculation about a fallout between Kartik Aaryan and producer Karan Johar following the box-office failure of Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri, reliable industry sources have dismissed these rumours as completely baseless. In fact, sources reveal that Kartik extended a significant gesture of support by waiving off ₹15 crore from his acting fee just days after the film’s release.

Industry insiders have praised the actor’s move, calling it a rare and responsible step in an industry currently facing a tough phase at the box office. A senior industry veteran noted that while actors are quick to celebrate success, many distance themselves when films underperform. Kartik, however, chose to stand by his producer and the project during a difficult time, showing maturity beyond his years.

This is not the first time Kartik has displayed such professionalism. A few years ago, following the underperformance of Shehzada, the actor had similarly waived a significant portion of his remuneration to support the film’s producers.

Sources also clarify that rumours about Kartik parting ways with Johar’s talent agency, DCAA, are untrue. The duo has reportedly laughed off these claims, which insiders say have been repeatedly floated by unidentified parties since their professional association began.

Meanwhile, Kartik is currently shooting Naagzilla, a film co-produced by Dharma Productions.
