She's the ruling queen of B'Town with an illustrious cinematic lineage, while he is one of the most powerful producers in the industry. It seemed apt then that Kareena Kapoor and Karan Johar were the first celebrities to cast their vote and launch the IIFA Voting Weekend.

Looking chic in a black polka dotted dress, Bebo revealed that though she's been performing at IIFA Awards consecutively for the past 4 years, this time's event will be even more special for her.

She said, "The organisers have been kind enough to have a Raj Kapoor retrospective. I think it's going to be very special and emotional. I'm more excited about that than anything else because the Kapoors have been very humbled and honoured by this gesture."

"This retrospective is for a man who's not only my grandfather but also a man who I think initiated cinema in many more ways than one," she added.

Johar too was especially thrilled about the Raj Kapoor centric film festival organised in collaboration with Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) which will form a crucial part of the IIFA Weekend at Toronto. He said, "IIFA's association with TIFF, especially for the Raj Kapoor retrospective, gives it a tremendous amount of credibility."

"As an advisory member of IIFA, I'm very excited about the 12th IIFA Awards taking place in Toronto, particularly because I feel that this will mark our foray into North America," he added.

Anil Kapoor and funnymen Boman Irani and Riteish Deshmukh were some of the other stars who'd come along to cast their vote. Anil, who was present in Toronto for the launch of IIFA Awards earlier this year said, "We've never seen this kind of craze for IIFA before this. Within half an hour, all the tickets were sold out!"

With so many things going its way, the IIFA Weekend at Toronto certainly promises to be an eventful one!
