Kareena Kapoor Opens Up On Her Breakup With Shahid Kapoor While Jab We Met

Recently Kareena Kapoor Khan completed two decades  in the entertainment business, the actress on completing 20 years in films, gave a special interview to film critic Anupama Chopra. In the interview Bebo spoke about her twenty years journey in films and pointed out five characters and films that changed her life. While talking about the same, she opened up and revealed about her much talked about break up with long time boyfriend Shahid Kapoor, while filming Imtiaz Ali's Jab We Met (2007). Kareena for the first time openly addressed the break up in detail and also shared how the film and the break-up impacted her life. Bebo also said that while she was focused about working in Tashan and even got the size zero figure for the movie, it was Shahid who convinced her to do the role of Geet in Jab We Met, that eventually changed her career.

Kareena said, "In fact it was Shahid who actually said that I should hear this script of this film. He was like, ‘It’s amazing, the girl’s part is amazing and you should do it.’ He kind of actually got this entire project together and both of us ended up doing this film" Talking about their break up she said, “Of course, then destiny had its own plan and life took its own course. A lot happened in the making of this film and Tashan and our lives... We all kind of went our separate ways. And this beauty of a movie came out of it.”

Kareena also spoke about how she met her husband Saif Ali Khan while filming Tashan and how it changed her life.

She said, “I think we just had to kind of do this movie at this time when Tashan was being made...and I met Saif. So I kind of did Tashan for that actually...when I actually thought that that was gonna change my life and my career. But this (Jab We Met) changed my career and that (Tashan) changed my life. Because I did meet the man of my dreams and I did marry him and this (relationship with Shahid) kind of took its own course in which both Shahid and me went our separate ways, and this gem came out of it.”

Meanwhile Kareena has a solid line-up of films in the year ahead, she will be next seen in Angrezi Medium with Irrfan Khan, Karan Johar's multi-starrer Takht and Laal Singh Chaddha with Aamir Khan.

Kill is ruling at the box office. The film has kept the strong hold going on the weekdays, despite competition from Kalki 2898 AD and rain affecting business in the Mumbai and Maharashtra regions.

Kill clocked in 1.24 crore nett on Wednesday, taking its total over the 10 crore nett mark. The audiences are loving the film and hailing it as the best action film in Indian cinema. The most highlighted part is the action sins between Lakshya and Raghav Juyal that people want to watch in repeat mode.KillKill has found appreciation from audiences, and the numbers are proving it. The film is set for a good number in the first week, and looking at the superb word of mouth, it is sure to see a fantastic hold in the second week as well.
