Filmmaker Karan Johar has strongly condemned the behavior of certain media outlets and paparazzi following the recent health concerns surrounding veteran actor Dharmendra. Taking to his Instagram story, Karan expressed deep disappointment over the insensitivity shown by some sections of the media. Check it out below:

He wrote, "When basic courtesy and sensitivity leaves our hearts and our actions we know we are a doomed race... PLEASE leave a family alone!!!! They are already emotionally combatting so much. It's heartbreaking to see a paparazzi and media circus for a living legend who has contributed so massively to our cinema... this is not coverage it's DISRESPECT."

Karan’s statement comes after a wave of misinformation and exaggerated reports about Dharmendra’s condition circulated online, with some even falsely declaring the veteran actor dead. Fans and several industry members have since expressed outrage over the reckless reporting and lack of sensitivity shown by the media. Just this morning, Sunny Deol publicly expressed his frustration against paparazzi and media.

Known for his close ties with the film fraternity, Karan Johar’s post resonates with many in the industry who believe that the line between news and intrusion has long been crossed. KJO has worked with Dharmendra in his last box office hit, Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani (2023).
