Karan Johar on Nadaaniyan trolling:

Bollywood producer, director, and host Karan Johar is debuting in the Punjabi cinema industry with the upcoming movie, Akaal. During the trailer launch of the film today, KJO was asked about the social media trolling his recent film, Nadaaniyan, received. The filmmaker gave a sensible answer to the question that surely deserves your attention.

Nadaaniyan

A journalist asked Johar, "Nadaaniyan has been trolled by a certain section of social media. Do you think this trolling phenomenon has become excessively brutal these days?"

Simplifying things, Karan Johar said, "Main bas ye hi kahunga, ek purane film ka alfaaz hai ki kuch toh log kahenge logon ka kaam hai kehna, chhodo bekaar ki baatein, beet na jaaye raina. Bas ye hi kehna chahunga main."

Adding further, he said, "I always maintain a good professional relationship with critics, even if they don’t like my film. Critics ka opinion sirr aankho par, but there is a certain section that is frustrated in their own lives, and that's why they exhibit such outbursts. I am okay with criticism because it's part of the industry, but the harshness is not acceptable. Nobody wants to be 'kicked' for his film because it's violent. I don't support that."
