Gulshan Devaiah Was Offered Toxic:

Actor Gulshan Devaiah, who was last seen in pan-India flick Kantara Chapter 1, has revealed that he was once offered a role in Yash’s much-anticipated film Toxic A Fairytale for Grown-Ups. In a recent interaction, the actor opened up about why he eventually decided to turn down the project, despite keen interest from the film’s makers.

Gulshan shared that the offer came a long time ago, even before Kantara released. “They did offer me Toxic a long time ago. A lot of these offers used to come earlier as well. It’s just that I started with Kantara,” he said. He also spoke about his discussions with director Geethu Mohandas, adding that she was eager to have him on board. “Geethu Mohandas and I had a long chat. She really wanted me in her film, but it didn’t work out for a variety of reasons, mostly scheduling,” Gulshan explained.

The actor further clarified that Toxic is a large-scale project involving multiple schedules and complex planning. At that point in his career, he already had several commitments lined up, which made it difficult for him to take on another demanding film. “I already had things going on that I was finding hard to manage. If I had taken up another franchise-level project, it wouldn’t have worked out,” he added.

Despite missing out on Toxic, Gulshan remains focused on choosing roles that allow him balance and creative satisfaction. Meanwhile, Toxic, starring Yash, is scheduled to be released on March 19, 2026, up against Aditya Dhar's Dhurandhar 2.
