Kantara Chapter 1 Hindi Box Office:
Rishab Shetty’s Kantara Chapter 1 has registered a fair opening weekend at the box office, showing steady momentum in the Hindi market. The film released on a festive Thursday and has performed well enough to indicate clear audience interest in the prequel to the 2022 blockbuster Kantara.
As per early estimates, the Hindi version has collected around ₹48 crore nett in its first three days. It opened at ₹17.5 crore nett on Thursday, dipped to ₹11.5 crore nett on Friday, and then grew to about ₹19 crore nett on Saturday. The rise on Saturday points to improved word of mouth, particularly in mass circuits where the film’s tone and setting seem to have connected better. The Saturday jump ensures Success verdict for the film. However, the numbers are far from breaking any records.

If Sunday maintains this upward trend, Kantara Chapter 1 could end its extended weekend with a total in the range of ₹68–70 crore nett. That would make it a successful start in the Hindi belt and a positive outcome overall across India. The all-India extended weekend can go over 240 crore.
Trade sources suggest that while the film’s performance is healthy, achieving a “blockbuster” tag might be challenging given the high benchmarks set by its predecessor. Nonetheless, the numbers so far underline that Rishab Shetty’s prequel has found a consistent audience and continues to draw attention for its mythological theme and grounded narrative style.
Below are the collections of Kantara Chapter 1 in Hindi market:
Thursday - 17.5 crore nett
Friday - 11.5 crore nett
Saturday - 19 crore nett approx
Total - 48 crore nett approx.
