Kanika Kapoor’s Missing Friend Ojas Desai Finally Found In Mumbai

Bollywood singer Kanika Kapoor has been tested positive of COVID-19, on 20th March. The singer with a foreign travel history to London, was accused to have hidden her travel history to the authorities. She has been booked by the UP police, an FIR has been lodged against her for negligence, as she attended at least three public gatherings and even stayed at a 5 star hotel after returning from London. Police have traced over 260 people who interacted with the singer post her return, while many is still untracked. However Lucknow police was is search of Mumbai-based businessman Ojas Desai, who was one of many who came in contact with Kanika, at the party which she attended in the 5 star hotel where she was staying in Lucknow.

Reportedly the businessman was missing, since Kanika tested positive of COVID-19, and was untraceable. Now he has finally been tracked in Mumbai and has also been tested negative for COVID-19 at Kasturba Hospital in Mumbai. Though Desai is still under home quarantine in Mumbai after testing negative for the virus, as per the guidelines of Government of India. Kanika even stayed with her uncle on March 13, in Kalpana Tower, from where 11 out of the 35 occupants have been tested negative for COVID-19, while reports of 24 persons are still awaited.

The singer received a lot of flack on social media and was blamed to have skipped the thermal screening at the airport by hiding inside the washroom. She was accused of staying at Taj Mahal hotel in Lucknow and not at her home, in spite of the regulation issued by government of India, to stay at home quarantine, for all foreign return citizens. The singer was blamed for negligence, as she was accused of hosting a party after her return. Kanika went ahead and spoke about all such allegations that was made against her and claimed all such reports to be false, and mere rumours. Kanika even claimed that she herself pestered the authorities to take her sample for COVID-19 tests, when the officials rather took things lightly.

Meanwhile Kanika's family has now raised questions about her COVID-19 report, on the basis of which a FIR was lodged against her. Her family pointed out that her reports have incorrect details of her age and gender. The report declared Kanika as positive for Covid-19 and mentioned her age as 28 instead of 41 and her gender as male.

The hospital authorities where the singer is currently hospitalized, have informed the media, that the singer should stop throwing tantrums as she is being provided with the best that is possible in a hospital. The authorities also want her to behave as a patient and not as a star and co-operate with them.

Kanika is presently admitted to King George's Medical University in Lucknow, where she is getting treated for COVID-19.
