Bollywood singer Kanika Kapoor has been tested positive of COVID-19, on 20th March. The singer with a foreign travel history to London, was accused to have hidden her travel history to the authorities.

She has been booked by the UP police, an FIR has been lodged against her for negligence, as she attended at least three public gatherings after returning from London. Now after a picture of her test report went viral on social media, her family has now raised questions about the report, which has incorrect details of her age and gender. The report declared Kanika as positive for Covid-19 and mentioned her age as 28 instead of 41 and her gender as male.

The singer received a lot of flack on social media and was blamed to have skipped the thermal screening at the airport by hiding inside the washroom. She was accused of staying at Taj Mahal hotel in Lucknow and not at her home, in spite of the regulation issued by government of India, to stay at home quarantine, for all foreign return citizens. The singer was blamed for negligence, as she was accused of hosting a party after her return. Kanika went ahead and spoke about all such allegations that was made against her and claimed all such reports to be false, and mere rumours. Kanika even claimed that she herself pestered the authorities to take her sample for COVID-19 tests, when the officials rather took things lightly.

Recently the authorities of the hospital where she is currently hospitalized, have informed the media, that the singer should stop throwing tantrums as she is being provided with the best that is possible in a hospital. The Authorities also want her to behave as a patient and not as a star and co-operate with them.

Kanika is presently admitted to King George's Medical University in Lucknow, where she is getting treated for COVID-19.
