Kamal Haasan Prefers Shah Rukh Khan Over Salman Khan For Tamil Remake

A few days ago, we had reported that both Shah Rukh and Salman Khan were in a race to bag the role of a daredevil cop played by the veteran actor Kamal Haasan in the remake of Tamil hit flick Vetaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu.

However, it now appears that Haasan has thrown his weight behind his Hey! Ram co-star Shah Rukh Khan. Sources claim that the South star himself called up director Gautham Menon and advised him to approach SRK for the role in the remake of the flick. Menon reportedly was in a dilemma as to whether Salman or Shah Rukh should be approached for the role of a daredevil and maverick cop, but now with Kamal Haasan himself rooting for SRK, it seems Salman might not get to play a Dabanng cop anymore.

Though Menon is still to make the final call, it does seem that Shah Rukh Khan, who has played a cop only once in his career with One 2 Ka 4 (which bombed at the box office, incidentally), might yet again get to don the khaki uniform…
