Kalki : 'Yellow boots are a symbol of her alienness'

She zoomed into the cinematic stratosphere with Dev.D and staked her claim as a performer of merit. Kalki Koechlin, who's on a roll superbly, ever since Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara turned grosser is gearing up to earn the spotlight once again with That Girl In Yellow Boots.

The actress was in high spirits performing a skit from the flick at a popular book store in South Mumbai as part of the promotional agenda for the flick.

"The fact that she's a firang makes my character in the film feel like an alien," said Kalki. "The yellow boots are bright and it's a spunky colour. The yellow is a symbol of her alienness because she just does not fit into the Mumbai culture because of the manner in which she dresses and looks."

Added Kalki significantly, "The idea for the film basically came from Anurag Kashyap. The story was developed from a series of newspaper articles."
