Kalki Worldwide opening day
Kalki 2898 AD took the box office by storm on Thursday, be it in India or overseas. The film has scored the biggest opening day for any Indian movie in 2024 and the 3rd biggest ever behind SS Rajamouli's RRR and Bahubali 2.
Kalki found huge rushes down south, while Hindi markets were good, if not great. The all-India total for the film has crossed the 100 crore gross mark, and it missed that 100 crore nett figure by a small margin.

In India, Kalki 2898 AD grossed around 109 crore, whereas overseas figures brought in over 60 crore gross. The worldwide haul stands at 169-171 crore approx. as per estimates.
SS Rajamouli's RRR (2022) still holds the biggest opening-day record without adjusted inflation (224 crore). Not to forget that the film was released after the second wave of the pandemic. The numbers would have been much higher otherwise.

On the second spot, we have another SS Rajamouli epic, Bahubali 2 (2017). The adjusted inflation numbers of BB 2 will be much higher than RRR, as the film collected a huge Rs. 214 crore gross 7 years ago, when ticket prices were far lower than what they are today.
