Kalki 2898 AD has taken a good start in Hindi markets, while South markets are running riot. The Kalki Hindi-dubbed version saw the best occupancy in the morning and afternoon for any film in 2024, surpassing Shaitaan and Fighter.

The film was hurt by the big semi-final match in the evening shows, but the night shows are looking pretty good. Kalki 2898 AD collected approx. 22 crore nett on day one, smashing Fighter's 20.5 crore nett for the biggest opening day of 2024. All this, despite less screens and less promotions.
Kalki 2898 AD will see good trending over the weekend, and the advance sales are promising. This 22 crore is a good figure for a Thursday release (non-holiday), and it would have easily managed to touch the 25 crore mark if there was no cricket match today.
