Jr. Mehmood Passes Away At 67 Due To Stomach Cancer; Funeral To Be Held Today

Jr. Mehmood, aka Naeem Sayyed, passed away due to stomach cancer on Friday, December 8th. He was 67 years old and was suffering from stage 4 stomach cancer. We, at Movie Talkies, pray for his soul.

Jr. Mehmood was admitted to Tata Hospital in Parel, Mumbai, for the treatment. A couple of days ago, he expressed his wish to meet legendary actor Jeetendra, with whom he has worked in numerous films. Jeetendra Ji fulfilled his wish and paid a visit to him in the hospital.Apart from Jeetendra, other actors like Johny Lever and Sachin Pilgaonkar also met the ailing Jr. Mehmood. The funeral will take place in Juhu Qabrastan, near Juhu Garden, around noon.

Junior Mehmood acted in 265 films in 7 different languages and also produced and directed 6 Marathi movies. His performances in super hit movies like Do Raaste (1969), Ghar Ghar Ki Kahani (1970), Kati Patang (1970), Aan Milo Sajna (1970), Caravan (1971), and Geet Gata Chal (1975) have been loved by audiences.
