John Abraham's "Jim" from Pathaan to Get a Standalone Prequel:

Fans of John Abraham who loved him in Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone's Pathaan have a reason to celebrate! John Abraham’s character Jim is all set to return, this time in his very own film. According to reliable sources, Yash Raj Films (YRF) is developing a spin-off focused on Jim’s backstory. The film will be a prequel to Pathaan, exploring Jim’s journey from a top Indian intelligence officer to a feared rogue agent, said a report in Bollywood Hungama.

“Aditya Chopra and Sridhar Raghavan have cracked a solid story for Jim’s spin-off, which will play a key role in defining the reason for his negative angst in the film,” a source close to the development told the portal. “They narrated the film to John Abraham, and the actor is all charged to take on the challenge of playing Jim again.”

The prequel is expected to go on floors in 2026, with a target release in 2027. It will dive deep into Jim’s past, his missions as a spy, and what led him to turn against the system. The source added, “Jim will be a prequel to Pathaan, and will be packaged with cameos from all films of the Spy Universe, as the backstory of Jim shows him as one of the best agents from Indian Intelligence Agencies.”

With this film, YRF continues to build its Spy Universe, following the success of films like Ek Tha Tiger, Tiger Zinda Hai, War, and Pathaan and Tiger 3. This could be the biggest movie in John's career and surely fans can't keep calm.
