Shah Rukh Khan's Jawan is off to a monstrous start at the advance sales on day one. The advance booking for Atlee's directorial began this morning, and tickets are selling like hot cakes already. Jawan is sure to have a huge opening on September 7th, but how big is the only question now.
Jawan has sold approx. 1,15,000 tickets in the first 10 hours today for the opening day. This is earth-shattering! This is unheard of for any Bollywood film in recent years, since the pandemic, as advance booking has become a stronger trend in post-lockdown times. Fastest to 1,00,000 tickets in advance sales—that's how big Jawan is at the moment and is likely to remain so for a while.
Those 115k+ tickets are from national chains PVR, Inox, and Cinepolis, with PVR leading the count (as expected). The single screens and premium single screens are off to a decent start but will pick up later as the B and C centres' audiences usually prefer late booking or spot booking to avoid BMS charges. Jawan's advance sales are higher than Pathaan's at the moment, and Pathaan (5.57 lacs) still holds the record for the biggest advance sales of all time in Bollywood. Will Jawan break it? Anyway, it's SRK vs. SRK.
