Veteran script-writer Javed Akhtar, who had taken a long break after writing the story and screenplay of his son Farhan Akhtar's directorial venture Lakshya, will be taking up the pen once more after nine years!

Confirming the news, Javed added that he had an idea in his mind and when he started writing it, he realized that he could not write it as a poem or a song, so he decided to write it as a film. Akhtar also said that he had started writing it a couple of years ago, before leaving it for something else and then coming back to it. Akhtar also informed that he would start meeting filmmakers for a narration soon.

Lakshya, which had starred Hrithik Roshan and Preity Zinta, was the story of a clueless young boy, who joins the Indian Army and the way it changes his life and general outlook.
