Zoya Akhtar has roped in Janhvi Kapoor and Vijay Verma to star in her next short film, ‘Ghost Stories’ for Netflix originals. Today Zoya took Instagram to share a picture from the first day shoot of the film, where she was seen holding the clapper for the first shot of the film. The clapper reads, ‘Ghost Stories’, ‘Scene 2’, ‘Shot 1’, ‘Take 1’.
The film will mark Janhvi’s first collaboration with director Zoya Akhtar and Vijay’s second, after his collaboration with Zoya, in Alia-Ranveer starrer ‘Gully Boy’.
Ghost Stories is an anthology for Netflix, which will have four short stories to be directed by, Karan Johar, Zoya Akhtar, Dibakar Banerjee and Anurag Kashyap. This anthology is the part of the series which was earlier made as ‘Bombay Talkies’ (2013), that was made to celebrate 100 years of Indian cinema with the same directors making a short of 30 minutes each.
‘Ghost Stories’ will be collaboratively produced by Ronnie Screwvala’s RSVP Pictures and Ashi Dua of Flying Unicorn Entertainment and Tiger Baby. RSVP and Netflix has team up for the second time after collaborating for Vicky Kaushal and Kiara Advani starrer web show, ‘Love Per Square Foot’.
