Why Jaideep Ahlawat left Ramayana:

Jaideep Ahlawat is one of the finest actors of his generation. The talented actor recently opened up about why he walked out of Nitesh Tiwari’s much-awaited epic Ramayana. Ahlawat’s recent comment seems to hint that he couldn't think of matching the dates with Yash, who plays Raavana in the film and his dates had to match in order to complete the film.

In an interview with Lallantop, a fans asked  him about Ramayana casting buzz and the actor revealed, "The role was offered to me but the timing didn’t match. They wanted a particular timing for the two actors who would be playing Vibhishan and Ravana (Yash), which did not happen. I am sure the dates of the actor playing Ravana are more important."

While Ahlawat didn’t name Yash directly in a negative way, his comment suggests that Jaideep wasn’t comfortable adjusting completely around it. Jaideep Ahlawat, known for his stellar performances would have definitely made Vibhishana's role look good, but unfortunately it is not happening now.

Ramayana

Ramayana, directed by Nitesh Tiwari, stars Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram, Sai Pallavi as Sita, Sunny Deol as lord Hanuman, and Yash as the main antagonist Ravana. Ramayana Part One is schedule to be released on Diwali 2026, followed by Ramayana Part Two on Diwali 2027.
