Jackie Shroff's pride and glory maybe his own son Tiger Shroff, but he is now lending his voice to a tiger of another kind - the majestic Sundarban beast. Jackie will lend his distinct voice for friend Kamal Sadanah's directorial debut Roar: The Tigers Of Sundarbans.
The actor will do a voice-over for the promo of the full-length feature film which is set in the beautiful albeit dangerous Sundarbans area of West Bengal for free. The two met for breakfast in Pune recently, and when Kamal proposed this project to Jackie he instantly agreed. Jackie and Kamal have known each other for a long time and share a mutual admiration for one other. While Kamal remembers watching Jackie's movie trials as a kid, Jackie remembers watching films made by Kamal's father Brij Sadanah when he was young.
The main reason for Jackie being numero uno choice for the voice over is because of the rich texture that his voice has. Kamal rues that he wished he could use Jackie for the entire film, but he is content that Jackie can at least be a part of the trailer. Roar revolves around the tiger, one of the most dangerous inhabitants of the Sundarbans, who have made over 10000 sq kms of dense jungle area their own.
