Jaat Advance Booking: Sunny Deol Starring Sees No Momentum –

After a lot of delays, the advance booking for Sunny Deol's upcoming action drama, Jaat, finally opened today. However, the momentum isn't really with the film at the moment as the advanced sales are below expectations. This is the second action film of the year after Sikandar to see a low response in advance booking, and both came back-to-back.  

Jaat Opening Day:

Jaat has around 8000+ shows and will be enjoying the partial holiday of Mahavir Jayanti, as government offices, schools, and colleges remain closed. The private sector will be working, so it's not a proper holiday benefit. Will this help the film? Yes, but not much. And yet, the film is expected to remain below the double-digit mark, which makes the real value even lower.

Jaat has sold approximately 40,000 tickets for day one and is cruising past the 2 crore gross mark easily. If the film sees any spike from here, then the final advances are likely to cross the 1,00,000 mark, and then the film can hope for a double-digit opening. But looking at the raw treatment and Sunny Deol's fan following among the masses, the film is more dependent on spot bookings and the online advance sales.  

Gadar 2 opened close to ₹40 crore nett in 2023, despite a clash against OMG 2. That film sold 2,74,000 tickets when the advance booking closed for day one, so Jaat is looking to be 2.5 times lower. On Twitter/X, fans are expressing their disappointment over poor marketing and promotions for it. Let's see how it fares tomorrow, but for now, it's pretty low considering the scale and genre.
