After the trailer of Ek Villain was released people drew a lot of comparisons with the Korean Film I Saw The Devil. Some people even found similarities between the poster of the film with that of the Hollywood film Face-Off.
Sources suggest that the director of the film Mohit Suri, copied some dialogues from the films I Saw The Devil and Jack Reacher. Infact, Mohit even accepted that some of the dialogues and plots in the film have been inspired by the books he has read. But Mohit clarifies saying that he has not copied Ek Villian from any other film. He says that the plots and characters in his film are totally different and do not bear any resemblance to any other film.
However, one has to wait and watch if the film is really a copy of the Korean film, as the Bhatts have a long-standing reputation of making remakes of International films.
The film starring Sidharth Malhotra, Riteish Deshmukh and Shraddha Kapoor will release on 27th June.
