Actor Irrfan Khan recently said that he feels that the Hindi film industry never unites to tackle major issues that affect it. The actor, who is known to voice his opinion on issues, said that the industry should come together to fight piracy. Recently, the prints of Abhishek Chaubey's film Udta Punjab and Indra Kumar's Great Grand Masti were leaked online days before their theatrical release.

During a media interaction to promote his upcoming film Madaari, when the actor was asked if many people from Bollywood didn't wish to comment on Salman Khan's controversial rape remark as they felt they were under pressure to not speak against the superstar, he said, "Aap sabko pata hai, industry chupi hui toh nahi hai, industry jaisi hai waisi news toh aate rehti hai. (You all know. There is nothing hidden about the industry)."

Directed by Nishikant Kamat, the film also stars Jimmy Sheirgill, Tushar Dalvi and Nitesh Pandey. The film, which is a social thriller, is slated to release on July 22.
