Neetu Kapoor is all set to enthral her fans with her comeback on the silver screen on 24th June. Her upcoming family drama, Jugjugg Jeeyo, also starring Varun Dhawan, Kiara Advani, Anil Kapoor and Maniesh Paul, has created a good buzz among the viewers. The actress has spoken about the film and her role during a recent media interaction. Let's have a look at the highlights.
Sharing her excitement on the silver screen after a long gap, Neetu Kapoor said, "Once an actor, always an actor. But it needs a lot of confidence, which I have recently lost because I haven't worked for some time and I lost my husband (Rishi Kapoor). So, you need that confidence."
"When I started working on this movie, I didn't have that confidence, but now I feel like I can do it. When Jugjugg Jeeyo was halfway through, I didn't want to do it. But now I am feeling much better and I want to do more work," she added.
Expressing the nervousness from the first day of Jugjugg Jeeyo's shoot, she revealed, "The first day on shoot was terrible. I was so scared, and then came COVID. I was like, it's good. We didn't shoot for one year, and I was very thankful. Then we shot after the pandemic, and by that time, I had done a few ads and shows. I was feeling much better because the scenes we shot later were my most important scenes in the film."
In an earlier interaction with Movie Talkies, Neetu Kapoor had said, "In Jug Jugg Jeeyo, I have a very nice role. That's why I did it. It is something every woman will relate to, and every woman would want to be like this Geeta. Yes, Geeta is my character's name in the movie. So it's a very relatable role and a very strong character, something that makes you think and touches you."
"There has to be something in the character. I don't want to just have a mother's role. It's not something ordinary, so that's why I did it. Otherwise, why would I do it? I'd rather sit at home and enjoy my time with friends and kids. It's my passion," she concluded.
