Inside Out 2 added another good weekend to its glorious run over the holiday period in the first week of July 2024. The film added $45 million this weekend, despite a huge competition from Despicable Me 4.Inside Out 2 has a cumulative total of $533 million in the domestic market and $683 million in overseas for the worldwide total of $1.216 billion. With this, it has surpassed Minions ($1.159 billion) to become the fifth highest grossing animated film ever.
The Pixar's sequel is now set to become the biggest Pixar grosser of all time as it trails behind The Incredibles 2 ($1.243 billion). The margin will be crossed by this weekend, and it will become the 4th biggest animated hit ever behind Frozen 2 ($1.453 billion), The Super Mario Bros.
