Imtiaz Ali's Brother To Helm 'Banana'

Imtiaz Ali's family is a talented bunch. With his brother Arif Ali donning the director's hat for the first time with the film Lekar Hum Deewana Dil, the youngest Ali sibling will make his directorial debut as well.

Imtiaz's youngest brother Sajid Ali is set to wield the megaphone for the film Banana to be produced by John Abraham. We hear that the film is a coming-of-age story set in Jamshedpur, the hometown of the Ali siblings. The film will follow the lives of 17 year olds and their struggles with facing the harsh realities of life.

Sources suggest that even though John is producing the film, he will not be acting in it. The film will only feature new-comers. The film is slated to hit the theatres by the end of 2014.
