Winner of the National Award for Best Actress twice and one of the most versatile actors in Bollywood, Tabu, spent an enlightening evening with students of Whistling Woods International, Mumbai.
Tabu, began her film career in the film Hum Naujawan at the age of 15 in 1985. She came into prominence with her role in Vijaypath in 1994 for which she received her first Filmfare Best Debut Award. She shared with students that working on different projects and directors over more than 9 years gradually helped her discover her acting skills. This journey definitely had its share of ups and downs. She went on to say that now things are different for newcomers. Students at schools like Whistling Woods International are exposed to training methodologies and techniques that help a talented individual gain the confidence to work with professionals in the film industry from Day One.
Various discussions on the Actor's relationship with the Director, Co- actors and the Writer threw light on how Tabu's qualities of patience, grace, self belief and respect for the team added value to the versatile roles she played and the success of these films. She concluded that she would have ideally wanted to study at a film school like Whistling Woods International where you save time on trial and error in the growing years and groomed to be one of the best in the industry.
