I Will Not Watch 'Heroine': Manisha Koirala

Industry was abuzz with rumours that the upcoming Madhur Bhandarkar film Heroine starring Kareena Kapoor was based on actress Manisha Koirala's life.

Manisha Koirala was a very successful actress in the 90s with films like Bombay, Akele Hum Akele Tum, Saudagar, Criminal, Dil Se etc. Although, she was never considered in the same league as a Madhuri Dixit or a Kajol, but she has had her own share of critical acclaim and box office success.

Also, she has also been in the news for her political connection (her grandfather was the Prime Minister of Nepal), her relationships, her erratic behavior etc. She hasn't been on screen for a prominent movie since quite some time.

The film Heroine, starring Kareena is about the life of a Hindi film actress and her ups and downs.

When asked if there was any truth in the rumour, she was quoted saying, "I can't speak for someone else. I hope Madhur knows me well enough if he is making a film based on my life."

When asked if she would watch the film to find out if it is true, she added, "No! My life is far more interesting. In any case, I have too much on my platter now."
