"I feel elated" - Irrfan Khan on the superb year that 2015 turned out to be for him

As 2015 comes to a close, there are reasons to rejoice for Irrfan. Other than his many achievements in the world of films this year, he has now also been ranked amongst the top on Forbes India Magazine's too celebrity list. This isn't all as he has also featured on the cover of the prestigious publication.

Says Irrfan, "I feel elated to be honored by India's most read publication; it's an extreme honor."

Right through the year, there was continuous buzz around Irrfan. No wonder, the kind of achievements that he gained kept him on high spot in all rankings of top actors.

To begin with, he was in news world over for appearing in the latest part of the cult Jurassic World franchise. This added new flag to his Hollywood career. Then his internationally acclaimed film Qissa won further accolades for him across film festivals across the world. As expected, it was followed by several awards.

He then appeared in Shoojit Sircar’s Piku which again grabbed many eyeballs, especially since his old school romance with sizzling Deepika Padukone was much appreciated by the audience and grabbed with glee. The announcement of him doing a Canadian-Japanese show further captured everyone’s attention and added new benchmark to his career.

As for his commercial outings, he totally amazed the audiences by his action and dialogues in Jazbaa. Also, the fact that he was paired with diva Aishwarya Rai further consolidated his place amongst the hot-n-happening star-actors on this side of Bollywood. On the other hand his intriguing character in Talvar again brought him a lot of praises not only from the audiences but also the critics.

Amidst such serious stuff, he didn't want to let go of the fun element and that was apparent once he featured in a music video with AIB which captured a lot of attention not only from media but also those from people in the industry. The video was a laughter riot as it sarcastically targeted the item songs.

All of this was further rewarded, courtesy his ranking at the 4th position of Times Celebex list as well as the cover that he did for India's leading contemporary publication - Platform Magazine.
