IFFI 2024 New App Launch:
The IFFI 2024 (International Film Festival of India) will kick off this year's gala events on November 20, 2024, in Goa. Taking place from November 20-28, 2024, IFFI will celebrate new voices in Indian film, underscoring the festival's commitment to fostering creative talent across the nation.
The I & B Ministry's secretary, Mr. Sanjay Jaju, was present in Mumbai to have a discussion with experts and media representatives from the entertainment fraternity. During this conversation, he presented the ideas he has shown to the Hon. Prime Minister of India, Mr. Narendra Ji Modi, and he also took suggestions from the industrial people to make it more advanced.

During his conversation with the media, Mr. Sanjay Jaju said that they are going to launch a new app at IFFI 2024 this year. The new app will support the new filmmakers and will also give them creative control over their projects. Mr. Jaju also said that the filmmakers will be getting a direct profit from the revenue generated through the OTT streaming of the film or series. With this, the filmmakers will be encouraged to make more films and get them released on an established app and also earn money for the next projects. This will be a game-changing moment for OTT space in India.

The OTT app will also include exclusive data from NFDC's archives, such as movie posters, original prints of the films, and archived footage, which no one has seen before. The changes for the subscription will be standard, so that everyone can afford it.
Sanjay Jaju shared that the IFFI is a great opportunity for the filmmakers and cinema lovers to come together and celebrate cinema. If anyone wants to present or screen his film to the public, he can do it. He has invited many producers and directors from the film industry to come and promote their films in this mega gala event to make it a bigger success than it was before.
