Bollywood actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui reveals that many producers and casting directors have told him he does not resemble a typical actor. Once, he was stopped by a security guard from entering a set due to his appearance. Joking about this, the Bajrangi Bhaijaan actor remarked that he looks conventional and it is Hrithik Roshan who is unconventional.

Nawazuddin was speaking at the Cinevesture International Film Festival on Saturday when he said, "I would get angry. You go to someone’s office and introduce yourself as an actor, and they would ask, ‘Who are you?’. I would respond that I am an actor. They would reply, ‘You don’t look like one’." During interviews, they would say, ‘You have an unconventional appearance’. Bhai, how am I unconventional when crores of people look like me in India? I’m conventional; it's Hrithik Roshan who looks unconventional."

Sharing his views on commercial and art cinema, he commented, "We used to do that in the theatre too. Sometimes we would perform Parsi theatre, and sometimes plays by Shakespeare and Mohan Rakesh, as well as folk and traditional plays. However, there are some special films dubbed as art films, though I disagree with the term, as there are only good or bad films – those that have certain depth, and an actor enjoys working on them. Some people believe a film should have five songs and things like that. But actors appreciate films that challenge them."
