Housefull 5 opening weekend:
The much-awaited comedy entertainer Housefull 5 had a fairly decent opening weekend at the box office, collecting approx. ₹79 crore nett over its first three days. While the numbers are decent on paper, the performance still falls short of the high expectations surrounding the fifth installment of Bollywood’s longest franchises.

Housefull 5 Box office:
The film opened on Friday with ₹22 crore nett, a respectable number considering the non-holiday release. On Saturday, the collections saw a healthy jump thanks to the weekend and the Bakri Eid holiday, bringing in ₹28.25 crore nett. Sunday continued the upward trend, with the film adding approximately ₹28.5–29 crore nett to its total.

Despite these weekend numbers, trade feel the film could have performed better given the star cast and franchise recall. The buzz around the film was high, and a ₹90–100 crore weekend was considered achievable. However, mixed reviews and average word-of-mouth seem to have slightly dampened its potential.

The coming Monday is now crucial. If Housefull 5 can maintain a strong hold and avoid a major drop, it stands a good chance of crossing the ₹110-115 crore mark within its first week. Otherwise, the film may struggle to sustain momentum amid upcoming releases. With high production values, a multi-star cast, and the typical dose of slapstick comedy, Housefull 5 still has enough appeal to draw audiences — but it needs consistency beyond the weekend to emerge as a clear box office winner.
