Housefull 5 Opening Day: 

Housefull 5 has opened to a decent start at the box office, with early estimates suggesting a Day 1 collection in the range of 21-22 crore nett. While the numbers might not have hit their maximum potential, they still mark a fair opening — the third-best of the year after Chhaava and Sikandar (Holiday) and Akshay Kumar’s best since Sooryavanshi post-pandemic, which was a holiday but a restricted release. Given the modest advance bookings, the film has managed a fair day one.

Housefull 5 Box Office:

The standout performance has come from the Delhi/UP belt, likely contributing around ₹4.50 crore nett on its own. The NCR and UP circuits have responded especially well, while Rajasthan is also showing encouraging figures. With Bakri Eid around the corner, the festive weekend is expected to further boost the film’s momentum, particularly in Muslim-dominated areas.

These centers have already shown positive early signs, and single screens are projected to see better footfall by Saturday. Sunday, typically strong for Bollywood releases, could bring another jump. The weekend projections should be over 80 crore nett from here, but could be higher. There is a long way to go for the film since the budget is too high for a comedy film with such numbers on Day 1. A start of 35-40 crore nett would have made a big difference, but the pre-release buzz didn't help much.
