Housefull 5 first week box office:
Housefull 5 has seen decent collections in the first week as the tally goes past the Rs. 110 crore nett mark. The comedy flick added approximately Rs. 6 crore nett on Day 7, bringing its total to Rs. 113 crore nett in the first week. Considering the wide release at around 5,000 screens, these numbers are underwhelming, especially for a franchise film. The worldwide numbers have crossed 175 crore gross.

The film has another open week starting tomorrow and should see a good jump in collections over the weekend. A total of 30 crore nett or more could take it near 150 crore nett, and then the weekdays should bring it to the vicinity of 160-165 crore nett. The film needs to show a good hold in the third week in order to emerge as an average grosser when Sitaare Zameen Par arrives. However, that shouldn't be much of a problem since the Aamir Khan-starrer will be released on 1,200 screens, leaving the Akshay Kumar-starrer with at least 3,500 screens.
