Housefull 5 Advance Booking Update:
The much-awaited summer release Housefull 5 opened its advance booking on Saturday evening, but the initial response has been underwhelming. Despite being a franchise film, the buzz for the movie hasn't been positive since the trailer and two other songs, except Laal Pari, which has now reflected in dull advance sales. While the teaser and Laal Pari song received a good response, the trailer didn't quite hit the mark, which might be a reason for the slow start.
Housefull 5 Trailer: Seems Like A High-Budget, Tiring Comedy Ride –
Historically, Housefull movies haven't had massive advance bookings. They usually start off decently and grow through word of mouth. The earlier films in the series ended up performing well, even without huge openings. However, things have changed post-pandemic, with sequels now seen as safer bets by audiences. That's why many expected Housefull 5 to open big, possibly around ₹20-25 crore nett. But so far, the early booking trends don't reflect those numbers. A big opening and high numbers are mandatory for this film since the budget is too high (in the range of ₹ 375 crore).

Another factor adding confusion is the dual release strategy - the film is coming out in two versions: Housefull A and Housefull B. This move has puzzled many in the industry. With audiences already selective about watching films in theatres, expecting them to see both versions is unrealistic. If someone enjoys version A, it's still unlikely they'll come back for version B, which means this approach may not boost box office numbers. And after all , it's only about the climax, so why would someone watch the full movie for that? In the coming days, the film still has a chance to pick up momentum. With a few days left before release, the team and industry are hoping for better results, so let's wait and see.
