Filmfare’s editor Jitesh Pillai is getting severely criticized for mocking popular television actress, Hina Khan, who marked her debut at the Cannes Film Festival, this year.
Hina Khan made a stellar debut as she attended the screening of Brazilian drama Bacurau at the French Riviera. The actress looked scintillating in her embellished Ziad Nakad gown and owned the red carpet with her infectious energy and compelling charm.
However, it seems that Jitesh couldn’t digest her presence at Cannes. Jitesh mocked Hina by posting a picture of the actress on his Instagram story and along with he wrote, “Cannes has suddenly become Chandivali Studios kya?” Jitesh’s elitist and snide remark has ruffled many feathers and he is being pulled up for it.
Now, Hina has reacted to his statement. The actress wrote, “I was persistent, I m constant n I will b efficient again n again again. Don’t know where I belong, don’t know if I have to, as d Place don’t define me! Bcause as always I will work my a** off n I will make my own PLACE. My promise, a proud outsider from my Chandiwali studios.”
Hina is at Cannes 2019 to promote her short film Lines.
