Himesh's stand on the burqa

Himesh Reshammiya's film is set for release tomorrow and understandably the actor-cum-singer?composer has been a bundle of nerves. He has done the rounds of various religious shrines to ensure the success of Aap Ka Suroor. But his visit to Ajmer Sharief on Tuesday seems to have landed him right in the midst of a controversy. His entry into the dargah wearing a burqa seems to have created quite a stir.

Reshammiya was quick to clarify his stand on his burqa stunt. He said that he had no wish to wear a burqa but when he reached the shrine, he found that word of his arrival had already preceded him and a massive crowd had gathered to see him. It seems he wore the burqa at the suggestion of the dargah's caretaker. Anyway, Reshammiya was quick to apologise for any hurt sentiments. Reshammiya, it seems, can just never have enough of controversy.
