Hijack Set to Release on Aug 29th

Shiney Ahuja is all set to Hijack audiences on August 29, with his daredevil stunts. His forthcoming film, Hijack, directed by Kunal Shivdasani, is not about a man becoming a superhero overnight, as it generally happens in Hindi films, but reveals instead the human ability to rise to the occasion, accept, and win over challenges.

Hijack is not going to be just another action flick. It deals with the hijacking of a plane and the mid air drama that takes place following the hijacking. It also tells the story of the extent to which a father can go to save his daughter, who is trapped in the plane hijacked by terrorists. Shivdasani seems to have done his homework well and manages to competently showcase the different emotions of the people trapped in the hijacked aircraft. Actress Esha Deol plays an airhostess in the movie. The film depicts how Esha's character helps Shiney's character in killing all the terrorists. The supporting cast consists of KK Raina, Kaveri Jha, Mona Ambegaonkar and others. The cinematography is by Jehangir Choudhary, while the story and screenplay are by Shivdasani himself, along with Gavendra Agarwal. The art direction is by Bijon Dasgupta and the costumes by Payal Saluja. Hijack's music has been composed by newcomer Justin Uday. The film is produced by Aleya Motion Magic and presented by EROS Entertainment. Action Director Allan Amin has guided Shiney all through the stunts in the movie. Amin has designed some nerve biting stunts in this movie for Shiney. There is one where Shiney is hanging 100 feet above the ground from a helicopter flying at a speed of going at 100 kmph. All the stunts have been executed by Shiney himself as the scene required close ups. So there was no chance of using a double. Amin has only words of praises for the gutsy Ahuja. Echoing his sentiments, Shivdasani said: "The role was tough and demanding. It required a lot of preparation and hard work to put life into the character, and Shiney has done his homework really well. Let's hope that this movie changes the way action Indian flicks are looked upon when it hits the theaters on August 29."
