Manish Gupta's film Rahasya, is reportedly based on the Arushi Talwar Murder Case and stars Kay Kay Menon, Tisca Chopra and Ashish Vidyarthi. Manish had started his career as a script writer for the Amitabh Bachchan-starrer Sarkar. The Bombay High Court recently stayed the release of the film after Rajesh and Nupur Talwar, the main accused of the case, claimed that the film is based on 'distorted facts'.

Vandana Talwar, the deceased teen's aunt apparently saw the movie on behalf of the jailed parents, claimed that there are several similarities with the actual case. The Talwars' legal aide also reportedly said that the movie does have a semblance to the case and could hamper the Talwar's right to a fair trial.

According to team Rahasya there is a difference in the age of the teenager, the servant as well as the parent's profession. But these tweaks are still too close for comfort to the real case. The Talwars wouldn't want this film to see the light of day until the deposition is done as it might alter public perception towards the couple which is ultimately unfair.
