Recently the director of Kangana’s last released film Panga, Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari, paid a surprise visit to the actress in Chennai, where she is shooting for the film. Sharing this new with fans, Ashwiny on Instagram shared a picture with the actress and wrote,
“Because this hardworking talented human of mine needed to be hugged for #Panga So a surprise visit to Chennai. Jaya / Thalaivi in animated conversation with her dost to be continued.”
Recently talking about the similarities and differences about her life and Jayalalithaa, the Padmashri recipient actress said,
“She ( Jayalalithaa) was not like me. She was a more a glamorous star… somebody like an Aishwarya Rai in Bollywood. It was a very big challenge to fit into those shoes because I’m not known as a glamorous star. There is one common thread, though, she was a very reluctant actor. It is the same with me. I never wanted to be an actor, and that is why we became very unusual actors. I think she always felt that she was worth much more than just being a glam doll, and she became a politician. Like how I became a filmmaker because I felt that being an actress was very limiting for me. So, I think there are parallels”.
This film is directed by AL Vijay, which is titled Jaya in Hindi and Thalaivi in Tamil. Kangana in the film will be seen portraying the acclaimed political leader, J Jayalalithaa, who is a late actress and former Tamil Nadu’s Chief Minister in her biopic.
