Shahid Kapoor’s Kabir Singh Is An Alcoholic, Cocaine-Snorting Doctor

Shahid Kapoor’s Kabir Singh, which is a remake of Telugu superhit Arjun Reddy, released on Friday and despite getting poor reviews by critics, for being extremely misogynistic, the film has managed to get a thundering opening.

The film earned a staggering Rs. 20.21 crore on its opening day. It has become the biggest non-holiday opener of 2019 by beating Total Dhamaal, which had earned Rs. 16.50 crore on day one.

Kabir Singh has become the fourth biggest opener of the year after Bharat, Kalank and Kesari. However, all the aforementioned movies had an extended opening weekend and released on holidays. Kabir Singh has also become Shahid’s biggest opener till date. Biz is expected to increase over the weekend.

Directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, the film stars Kiara Advani as the female lead.
